I get some really weird, random searches on my blog
Posted by Susan Wu on Aug 21, 2007 in personal
Yesterday, I got 3 searches for “pirate’s booty.” Today, I got one search for the “galapagos turtle.” And another for “making lots of money.” These I understand, because there’s actually content here that refers to these topics.
But some searches are really strange and unexplainable:
- “opening up front panel Wii”
- “club penguin hacking accounts”
- “posh spice new haircut”
- “urban snorkeling vacation”
- “gear military night vision”
- “how much a real baby monkey cost”
- “I NEED TO WRITE DOWN MY BUSINESS PLAN”
Who are you people?

I confess. The search for the baby monkey was me, as were the Posh Spice haircut and military nightvision searches. I wanted to do a YouTube video on Posh and Beckham with them played by baby monkeys. I needed the military night vision goggles to stalk them and stay up to date on their habits, that my crack team of baby monkey actors can emulate them properly and accurately. Had your site ACTUALLY contained information about Posh’s new haircut as I was led to believe I wouldn’t need the damn night vision.

Just like Matt, I’ll confess as well.
I was searching for a baby monkey and for whatever reason, it said Susan Wu was the expert on pricing. After looking on marketplaces and calling up Dog the Bounty Hunter, I found out the correct pricing. Your blog was extremely influential in pointing me in the right direction. Ross from Seinfeld would be happy…
Er, Ross from Friends…
Haha, those are some strange searches. My guess is that it was a bot/script that conducted those searches….?
thats how Google makes money.
I was searching Raph Koster’s blog to find out if I needed to write down my business plan and it sent me here…
Hello nice blog! !!

It’s my new page.about shoes.
I used to keep a running list of inscrutable search terms – after a year of collecting I just got overwhelmed

the most worrisome one was “should psychotic people be responsible for their behavior and be prosecuted for killing others?” which I couldn’t find on my site — yet somehow Google, when asked this question, steered SOMEone to me :/

I was just looking for Neal’s line, regarding vapors and facts, and after finding KNygaard’s CV you came up.
